Stability AI has introduced two new beta tools designed to integrate its Stable Audio 3.0 model directly into creative workflows. The first is a dedicated digital audio workstation plugin, which functions as an instrument track inside major production software like Ableton Live and Logic Pro. Available as a macOS AU and VST3 plugin for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, the tool allows producers to generate audio that automatically syncs with their session tempo. Users can generate clips ranging from short sound bites up to full six-minute songs, and they can save multiple takes within a playlist to compare options.

Alongside the plugin, Stability AI has upgraded its web platform at StableAudio.com to support multi-track editing and iterative generation. Instead of starting from scratch with every prompt, creators can now refine existing generations using natural language feedback, such as requesting different instrumentation or less low-end frequencies. The web interface also supports audio-to-audio generation for exploring variations, and it features mixing controls like volume levels, panning, muting, soloing, and master effects. Finished stems or full mixes can be exported directly from the browser.

Both tools are powered by Stability AI's commercially-safe models, meaning users retain full ownership of their generated outputs and can distribute them freely. For music producers and sound designers, these updates transition AI audio from a novelty isolated in a browser tab into a practical utility that fits into professional environments. By allowing fine-tuning and DAW integration, the company aims to support an iterative creative process rather than just one-shot generation. The tools are currently in an early beta phase as the company gathers feedback from artists.
